The trauma of commission and omission

Please do not underestimate what your body records from your experiences because you’ve learned to compare or play small or mute your truth.

In between the perception and the truth is a space where we hold our pain, our shame, our despair, our grief, and our guilt.

It is only when we bridge the gap between those two, what the world sees and what you know, that we have a chance at freedom and well-being.

Omission of what we need(ed) can leave a traumatic imprint on your body the same way a committed act against you can.

Pain is personal and not comparable. You must allow yourself to feel it in order to heal it. There is no other way to reclaim yourself from the shackles of the past.

Honor yourself, your experiences, your heart. Your truth matters, you matter.
We all carry trauma, we can also set it free. 💛
